Hey Sumit,
many people incl I are a bit twitchy about impact of mining. This is a bold and interesting move. This line “Tum Mujhe RAM Do, Main Tumhe Comics Doonga!”, if you can incorporate in your main page launches (popup/titlebar/or elsewhere where it is visible to any new visitor) so that people are transparently told about it. The bottom popup looked like a consent for cookies.
Also, 50% looks a bit higher given most of the visitors will be from mobile devices and this may give them the impression that batteries will drain faster.
Your point is valid. The opt in does seem like its trying to imitate the COOKIE thing. Also, my opt in being customised will help. Working on that with the company – Gath3r. At most i think it will happen in 2-3 days.
