Graduation Project- Animation Internship

We are an Animation and Comics studio. We create original content, which then is published on our social and our website. Our current focus is building India’s first adult animated series Aaapki Poojita, which is Kickstarter funded. We also work with clients from time to time and sell our own graphic novels.

At Bakarmax we can offer graduation projects for which the brief will be, “To create 15-30 sec animated sketches based on well performing comics on the Bakarmax website”. We are not commissioning fresh / untested ideas. Fresh ideas to evolve the sketches in terms of animation treatment, adaptation to the animation format, nevertheless, are welcomed as long as the core idea of the comic is retained.
The amount of work at any point of time assigned will be keeping consideration of the students capability and will at no point be overbearing, that is the Bakarmax guarantee.

Apart from that, help and guidance to the student, from the University Faculty is welcome, as long as the final editorial and creative call remains with Bakarmax.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. For a period of 6 Months at least 3 X 45 second sketches should be completed by the candidate. Less if longer sketches.
2. This will be additional to working as an assistant animator/ IBCU artist on the ongoing production at Bakarmax – Aaapki Poojita Animation Series or any other commercial project.
3. taking up full responsibilities of getting the sketches finished from pre production to post production and marketing.
4. Taking up basic tasks such as managing files of a project, keeping track of files etc.
5. Being involved in meetings and sessions to understand how the studio functions
6. We’re a small team – Providing support to each other is crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

1. An ongoing degree course in Animation or equivalent experience.
2. Basic knowledge of Animation principals and concepts.
3. Know how on using adobe suite (Animate CC, After effects, Premier pro, photoshop etc.)
