CLEANUP & IN-BETWEEN ARTIST (2D Animation)

DURATION: 6 months to a year

We are an Animation and Comics studio. We create original content, which then is published on our social and our website. One of our own ideas – Zindagi CGHS has been greenlit for a pilot. It’s a mass market hindi animated sitcom for grown ups.

Other than this we are working on our Kickstarter Series Aaapki Poojita, we make monthly sketches (like in SNL) and do client work.

This is your chance to be part of an all original animated comedy series!

We’re currently looking for a humble weirdo from India, Malaysia, Vietnam or literally anywhere in South Asia or the world, to bring our characters to life with expressive, clean line work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follow the rough animation – finish the indicated in-betweens,  and then ink and colour everything – in any given sequence.
2. Maintain style & quality in line with the show’s look.
3. Work closely with senior animators to implement feedback and achieve quality shots.
4. We’re a small team – providing support to each other is crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

1. Experience in Adobe Flash (Animate).
2. Strong understanding of animation principles.
3. Good eye for clean lines, weight, and flow.
4. Basic understanding of rigged animation and the symbol method. Our ICON METHOD method is a mix of drawing and rigging using symbols
5. In our world, there is no animation without drawing. You need to know it.
6. Love for animation – location does not matter.

WE OFFER:

1. Two ways to work with us:
   • CONTRACTUAL: Exclusive, across all projects for a fixed monthly fee.
   • FREELANCE: Commission-based, paid per industry-standard second rate.
2. We take care of software costs, licenses, and online training.
3. Chance to work closely with senior animators and directors and soak up some good ol’ animation wisdom.
4. Advance is issued to all our vendors – ranging from 10-50%
5. Full and final payments are done within 30 days of the date of invoicing. We don’t delay payments.
6. Credit – We give credit wherever we can.
7. We involve our vendors on our original and experimental self funded projects.
8. You’ll be part of the Bakarmax artist network—cartoonists, writers, animators, the whole gang.
9. You get to participate in team activities.
10. REVOLUTIONARY! Humane working hours (no weekends) and decent behavior (nobody screams, only passive-aggressive).
