Leewardists is an urban forum which creates awareness about the importance of Design, Architecture, Sustainability and Urban Design through the medium of simple art of ‘Comics’. Nothing simplifies the complexity of any issue than animated visual graphics. Comics have been a branch of visual arts that envelopes almost all age groups and genders and communicates in a much simpler way. One of famous Aristotle’s maxims, “Laughter is natural to man”, a long forgotten wise saying today, is also what we aim for to bring back by homogenizing narration and humor so that masses relate and understand better. We are a mixed bunch of inspired architects, artists, designers, writers, thinkers and doers that strive continuously to look at the leeward façade of the existing world of architecture. Our approach is research and solution based in form of comics, informative visual graphics, and narrations that addresses issues on the grass root level in architecture such as sustainability, urban issues, design etc.
