It all started with a friend, who doesn’t want to be credited, saying “Gandhi Visarjan: Teen goli maarkar paani mein daal dete” . And there was this drawing tablet that another friend had purchased, who doesn’t want to be credited too, that I wanted to try out. Result: This comic.

My experiences with Gandhi began early, when all grown ups around me told me that he sold out India, was responsible for partition and how Bhagat Singh is the greatest and Independence should’ve been snatched and what not. But as I grew older and (not really wiser) worked for something I was passionate about, I started to see Gandhi in a different light. Anand Vardhan, a friend of mine sums these emotions about Gandhi really well.

THERE ARE TWO GANDHIS – ONE IS THE HUMAN, LIMITED BY HIS TIME WITH HIS FAULTS, ERRORS, MISTAKES AND ANOTHER IS GANDHI THE IDEA, THE THOUGHT, THE PHILOSOPHY, WHICH IS TIMELESS.
