Sorry to be that guy but there was no Lucknow Presidency…only a Lucknow Residency. There were three Presidencies – Bombay, Calcutta and Madras. Lucknow was the capital of the “Self-governing” kingdom of Oudh and hence had a Permanent Resident from the East India Co, whose residence is known as the Residency. Also, you spelt ‘Gentlemen’ wrong.
