In August 2020, Frontline Defenders a human rights organisation approached us to make a comic on the incidents of the Bhima Koregaon case. A studio like ours has previously covered Naxal Conflict & Kashmir Conflict in books Amar Bari Tomar Bari Naxalbari & Kasmir Ki Kahani respectively were extremely excited to take this up but this time situation was a bit different. Through our Initial discussion with the activist & the researcher, they warned us that this comic might lead to UAPA charges on us as well. We laughed it off initially but later we decided to keep it synonyms under the credit – “Just Some Regular Cowards”. We even used the Signal messenger app to communicate in fear of our messages/emails might get intercepted by the government. So after 1.5 years we got some courage and are now publishing this comic on Bakarmax.
